Dear Crossland Family,
I am so sorry for your loss, but as believers we know where Windell is and we are consoled. I taught you children, served with Windell on the board and we were friends. I will not be able to be at the service but you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I called Mark and he sends his condolences as well

So sorry for your lost. I always love working high school games and playoff game and even Dixie baseball . He was Texas Dixie Boys first State UIC for one year and I took over from him and I am still the Texas Boys State UIC and I want to think we learn a lot for each other. For years we were the only two umpires for question in Dixie youth and boys and we had a answer all the time . I love Wendell and he will be greatly miss. Rest In Peace my brother and look forward to the day we meet again in Haven . We will probably have to get the rules straight in haven to. Love you and already miss that smile on your face and the baseball jocke before the game. This isn’t a goodbye this is I will see you later. God Bless you my friend

Dear Crossland Family:

Our church family is in prayer for our Lord to comfort all of you. May the Holy Spirit overshadow you with strength and mercy.

I had the privilege of visiting Windell last week in the Longview hospital and praying with him. When I departed I said something like: "I'll be seeing you." By the testimony he gave to me, I look forward to truly seeing him again.

Prayerfully,

Charles Johnson, pastor
Rosewood Baptist Church
