John Ross Greenlee, Jr.
February 26, 1967 - May 8, 2020

John Ross Greenlee Jr., 53 of Daingerfield went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2020 in Plano, TX surrounded by his family.
John was born in Lone Star, TX on February 26, 1967 to John and Bettye Greenlee. He graduated from Daingerfield High School, class of 1985. In January of 1993, he married Darlene Greenlee, the love of his life and they spent the next 27 years building a beautiful life together.
John loved his job, loved traveling, and loved meeting new people. He was employed at TexTrail in Mount Pleasant, TX for the past 6 years and prior to that, he worked for Redneck Trailer Supply for over 20 years. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ore City. He was a Mason for over 25 years and Shriner for over 10 years.
Johnís greatest joy and gratification came when he spent time with his family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing, playing golf, and making others laugh. We will forever miss the mischievous sparkle in his eye and the warm grasp of his hand. His laughter was contagious and love boundless. There could not have been a better husband, father, son, brother, or uncle.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Bettye Greenlee of Daingerfield; and his father and mother-in-law, Joe and Nita Stokley of Pascagoula, MS.
He leaves behind a great legacy through his wife Darlene Greenlee of Daingerfield; daughters Kristie Hudspeth of Lago Vista and Lexi Greenlee of Rowlett; son, Riley Greenlee of Daingerfield; father, John Greenlee Sr. of Daingerfield; sister and brother-in-law, Elena and J.J. Pemberton of Daingerfield; brother-in-laws, Tony Stokley of Daingerfield and Joey Stokley of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service for family and friends will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 12176 US-259, Ore City, TX 75683 with Bro. Curtis Epnett officiating.
